Band Of Brothers Chapter 6

Pg. 80-110
In chapter 6 E company goes into another battle. They took over and defended another area. There were a lot of some things that happened in this chapter and a lot of these things were funny. One if the  guys had to go to the bathroom out in the middle of the field and got is butt shot by a sniper. Mortars were being launched at some men and they did some weird things. A bad thing that happened was one of the Americans put on a German poncho and decided to wake another american by poking him with his pistol. He ended up getting stabbed in the chest because he thought he was German. This actually wasn't very uncommon were people were mistaken for the enemy.

Band Of Brothers

Pg. 1-80
In WW2 were reading Band Of Brothers. We have read many books in the class about the men and the different areas of WW2 but this one seems to be more interesting to me. The beginning of the book starts of with getting to know who some of the men were and why they were going through the training. The men in the army volunteered to be paratroopers and go through the elite training. They did not want to be in the infantry and die, but rather get advanced training to fight. They had some of the hardest training out of all the men and were very well rounded.
CO Sobel is someone that no one likes and were actually thinking about killing him once they went into combat. He forced them to do things that they really did not have to but he felt since he had power he could do these things. Sobel in the end got transfered out of E company.
The men had been through a lot of training and D-Day finally came. They ended up jumping way to low and losing a lot of the things they really needed like their gun. Most of E company regroups and are ordered to take out some Germans ahead. It was done so well and so quick that everyone was entirely surprised at how they could do this. These men are some of the best and it will be cool to see what else that they went through.


There is a series of shows about this book on HBO that is really good I hear. If I had HBO I would watch it but everyone I have talked to says that it is good.

Zombies! Part 2

Pgs.1-20
Outbreak was a movie in 1995 where a virus breaks out killing people in 3 days. It was a very painful and violent death but at least the died and didn't turn into zombies. Although it might be cool to be a zombie. Who knows?

This part of the book really makes everything more real. Instead of a gory kill everything zombie book you get a real world view about how everything might happen and the results of it. Exporting/smuggling people became more popular because weren't  allowed to leave after the outbreak. Any way possible people were trying to go to other places without being caught. Soon enough the war is really going to begin.

Zombies! Part 1

I thought the picture was a cool way to open this one. The author starts this book out in a way to make it sound like everything in this book is true and has really happened. He explains why he is writing it and what it is filled with. In his book you experience accounts of people who were in a zombie war. How its started and how it ended. Reading the first chapter you jump into everything when a boy is brought into a hospital and everything goes on lock down. In this chapter you are in the doctors view and experiencing everything he  is going thorough. The doctor is then incarcerated for no reason but escapes. But by the time he does the outbreak has moved past china's boarders.

Calvin and Hobbes

Pgs. 1-30
So I decided to start reading some Calvin and Hobbes today. As I was reading today I came across some good articles. In the first one Calvin is trying to study for his vocab but is having a hard time. So he transforms himself into an elephant. Well he believes he transforms but really doesn't. Good oh Calvin and Hobbes.


In a second article Calvin and Hobbes are planning on traveling to the future. They take a cart up to the top of a really big hill and ride it down. Calvin thinks since two minutes have passed they are in the future. Hobbes is a little disappointed though since things have not changed.

Moving On

For the whole week I have been trying to read this book but have not got any farther in it. It was getting a little more intresting but still no enough. Reading is not something I really enjoy or feel I even have time for so it makes it even harder to engage in this story. The topic of religion and the end of the world is really intresting to me thats why I thought I might enjoy this book and be able to read it. Guess not. I figured since I have nothing to blog about the book I might as well blog about not reading :)

Assassins: Chapter Two

Pg.17-29 Chapter two became a little more interesting and easier to understand. The author right now breaks the chapers up intwo two different parts from two different situations. In the one we meet a new female character named Annie. In the other a problem arises wehre the "Doc" becomes sick and it may result in death. Hopefully everything will start to become more interesting now with this situation. Here is a clip from the movie "Left Behind", based of the first book.

Assassins: Chapter One

Pg.1-16 Ok reading the first chapter of the book it was really confusing. It jumped around all over the place and there were things from the previous books that I dont know about. This book is part of the left behind series and I havent read any of the previous ones. If someone wanted to let me know what happened it would be nice. I think and hope once this book gets going it will get a lot better and more intresting. There are a lot of books in this series and here is a picture of all of them.
